In street to Oreum
Here is place that visit in a day that get into rank 6 day in our Jejudo travel. We had visited 'Nature love gallery' that can see Jejudo's picture in the morning. Of course, I had taken some pictures. However, most of it are picture that there is no meaning. So, I will not update it.
Jejudo is island that is made by volcano activity. So, there are many very unique things. The most representative thing is Oreum. Oreum calls small crater in Mt. Halla surrounding. There is very many Oreums in Mt. Halla.
If someone visits Jejudo, I am going to recommend Oreum necessarily. We had visited Oreum of two places this day.
Place that we visit first time is Abu-Oreum and place that visit second is Nopeun-Oreum.
about Oreum ( from : http://indianadan.blogspot.com/2008/06/oreum.html )
Mt. Halla, formed through volcanic eruptions, is a shield-shaped volcano.
During the eruptions, lava, because of its low density, flew down slowly, forming the gentle east and west slopes while the south and north ones remained steep. A topography formed in this way is geologically referred to as an htmllite volcano. Mt. Halla takes up the upper part of cone-shaped Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and is 600m to 1,950m high above sea level.
Mt. Halla was formed through more than 100 volcanic eruptions.
These eruptions also formed parasitic cones or secondary volcanos called "Oreum" in Jeju dialect. These 368 Oreums are dispersed evewhere on Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, with Mt. Halla as their center. The comparatively small place has the most Oreums in the world.

"Oreum refers to a tiny volcanic zone that contains a volcanic cone, omnipresent at Jeju Island, excluding Paekrokdam at the peak of Hallasan.
It is a typical Jeju dialect that indicates an independent volcanic zone, made of ejecta or a parasite volcano.
The origin of the word "Oreum" is traced to a noun, made from the verb "mount," and it is thought to imply a small hill or slope that one can easily climb.
Jeju Island is a volcanic one, resulting from a series of volcanic explosions that have occurred not so long ago. The time period for Jeju Island's geographical origin is presumed to range from 500,000 to 2 million years ago, a relatively recent event, considering the 4.6- billion- year earth history.
A parasite volcano is a small volcanic zone and is widespread around the Hallasan ridges and volcanic piedmont areas, the mountain being located at the heart of Jeju Island.
Most of the Oreums, Jeju Island's unique parasite volcanos, were formed out of small sized sporadic volcanic explosions at the Halla Mountain piedmont areas a few tens and thousands, or even hundreds and thousands of years ago.

* Distinctive features
Oreum is a tiny volcanic zone that contains a volcanic cone, omnipresent in Jeju Island, except Paekrokdam at the top of Hallasan. The meaning of Oreum includes all the implications of Ak, Bong, Mae and tiny volcanic zones in Jeju Island. Independent volcanic zones or parasite volcanoes in Jeju Island belong to the "Oreum".
Craters should be present
Craters are volcanic zones where the volcanoes had erupted.
A circular cone where no crater is visible is presumed to be flattened at the initial formation stage or sunk in with time. A Crater, from which a volcano erupts, is known to be a prerequisite for the formation of Independent Volcanic zones or parasite volcanoes.
Formed from spouted Volcano
Lava, and other debris of volcanic activities, serve to create lava plateaus, cinder cones, tuff cones, tuff rings, and maar.
A Lava Plateau is a volcanic zone made out of lava.
A Cinder cone is formed out of porous Scoria that comes from the lava, spewing into the air from a volcano and cooling afterwards.
A Tuff is a volcanic zone made out of tiny particles that measure 1/16 - 2mm(or 1/16-4mm). The rock, made out of trass, is called Tuff. Tuff is further divided into Tuff cones and Tuff rings, according to the physical shape of its formation.
※ What our ancestors in Jeju Islands reffered to as "Oreum" is a small hill or slope, which is covered with a green field or a crater (called "Gumburi") at the peak of a mountain.
