한국의 건축물 (Korean architecture)

Korean architecture

I like Korean architecture very much.
Because Western buildings use bricks and stones, it is difficult to open wide windows. However, because Korean architecture uses wood, it has a structure that can open wide windows.
And to maintain the structure of the building, columns were used, which were also made of wood.
So, to protect the timber from rain and snow, we use a plinth at the bottom. And at the same time protect the wood by using long eaves.
So, Korean houses have wide eaves.

This traditional look is still applicable today.
I used to live in a traditional Korean house, a Hanok.

In Hanok, the garden is located inside the house. Western houses are completely different from where the garden is located on the outside of the house.
The architecture of Hanok with stones and trees in harmony is really beautiful.

나는 한국의 건축물을 매우 좋아합니다.
서양의 건축물은 벽돌과 돌을 이용하였기 때문에 넓은 창문을 내기 어려운 구조입니다. 하지만 한국의 건축물은 목재를 사용하기 때문에 넓은 창문을 낼 수 있는 구조를 갖게됩니다.
그리고 건축물의 구조를 유지하기 위해 기둥이 사용되었는데 이 기둥 또한 목재로 만들어졌습니다.
그래서 그 목재를 비와 눈으로 부터 보호하기 위해 하단에 주춧돌을 사용합니다. 그리고 동시에 긴 처마를 사용함으로써 목재를 보호합니다.
그래서 한국의 집들은 넓은 처마를 갖고 있습니다.

이 전통적인 모습은 현대에도 그대로 적용되어 있습니다.
나는 한국의 전통적인 주택형태인 한옥에서 살았었습니다.

한옥은 정원이 집의 안쪽에 위치합니다. 서양의 집들은 정원이 집의 바깥쪽에 위치하는 것과 완전히 다릅니다.
돌과 나무가 잘 어우러져있는 한옥의 건축물은 정말로 아름답습니다.
